History/Background
Pool last refurbished in 2004 Two part professional re-surfacing to existing GRP liner – 16K OK until 2009-2010, then rapid deterioration
Does not meet current (PWTAG) standards for water turnover However: regular bacteriological tests indicate no actual
problem PWTAG compliance => new pump room 7m*3m
Budget £K105 for refurbishment subject to confirmation of masterplan Masterplan will go to Council December 9th 2013
Pool unused 24*7*7 months and 16*7*5 months Pool is at main park entrance yet not attractive when out of use
– even when refurbished Opportunity during refurbishment?

Decisions
Re-paint, re-build or re-imagine Budget uplift Toilets
Simple (eg 1-2 cubicle) toilets could probably be accommodated, Cheaper if done now!
Guesstimate – 30-60k in addition Masterplan option selected means that Café
toilets no longer close to pool Café toilets were close in option originally selected
Demand will continue, shoukld we spend the money now eg from New Homes Bonus?
