Attendance – 91.02%
Students wanting to get their permit paper from
the guidance office MUST stop by the guidance office any day
but MONDAY. They may pick up the form Tuesday-Friday.
Seniors, it is now time to submit your senior picture to
the yearbook staff or Mrs. Robinson. The closer up photos show up the best; however, you may submit
one of your choosing. If you already have it in digital format, then just e-mail it to Mrs. Robinson.
If you do not submit a senior picture, then the
yearbook staff will use your school portrait.
Attention FBLA members: Be sure to pick up your permission packet to attend the FBLA Region 5
conference on March 5 from Mrs. Robinson or Mr. Bailey. All forms must be signed and turned in by March 3.
Mrs. Robinson and Mr. Bailey want to make you aware that if you qualify for state or get to attend as a
delegate, the cost will be $90 each and will be April 20 through April 22. Your money will be due by March 9. So,
this is something that you'll want to go ahead and be
discussing with your parents since you compete at regions on March 5 and must have $90 turned in by March 9 if you get to
attend state. The yearbook staff are pleased to announce a new app
that you can install on your phones and upload
pictures! Just search for Balfour Image Share and key in the yearbook project #578066. You can share your
photos immediately with the yearbook staff, and they may just get used in the yearbook.

New scholarship: available this year to graduating Seniors. It is sponsored by NaphCare and is $5,000 for every year the the student meets the qualifications while in college. So possibly $20,000 towards tuition. From what I understand, the scholarship is geared towards students who are not exceptionally academic or athletic. My aunt Pam is on the scholarship committee and at this point they have very few applicants. If you know any graduating seniors, please encourage them to apply. They will be awarding 5 scholarships at $5,000 a year.
