Please Remember in Prayer

Anna Mae Vukovich, who passed away on April 4, 2020.

We offer the prayers and sympathy of our “Family of

God” to her family during this time of loss. Eternal Rest

grant unto her, O Lord, and let Perpetual light shine upon

her.

Rest in Peace

Jesus, during your ministry on Earth You showed

Your power and caring by healing people of all

ages and stations of life from physical, mental

and spiritual ailments. Be present now to people

who need Your loving touch because of Covid-

19. May they feel the power of Your healing

through the care of doctors and nurses.

THANK YOU!!! I am grateful beyond words for your wonderful support to the parish

during this difficult time. Many of the parishioners are sending their

envelopes one or other way. So that we can manage all the

expenses without much trouble. God bless your love for the Parish.

Let you know if you prefer, now we have the facility for online

giving. You can give three different ways:

This is the easiest way. Visit the website www.olopmi.org and you will

see at the bottom of the Home page a box named “Our

Stewardship, Online Giving”. Click and it will direct to the online

giving portal.

OR See the link for online giving on “Our Lady of Peace Facebook

page.

OR Type the link https://marquette.igivecatholic.org on your web

browser and follow the directions. Type Ironwood, MI in the search

box and click view profile.

Divine Mercy Sunday Our Parish will have a Eucharistic Adoration at 3:00 p.m. on Divine

Mercy Sunday, April 19. I suggest the families to pray Divine Mercy

Novena in preparation for the day starting on Holy Saturday, with

the special intention to protect and save our families, our country

and the entire world from danger of Covid 19. If we are still on lock-

down by that time, the adoration will be streamed live.

Celebrating the Wisdom of Venerable Bishop Frederic Baraga 2020

Baraga lived by his motto, “One this is necessary”. This provides the

key into his lifestyle of virtue and holiness, do everything for the love

of God.

Dear Parishioners of Our Lady of Peace The members of the Knights of Columbus Council #1396 would like

to offer a helping hand during these trying times.

Here are the ways we may be able to help:

1. Pick up food or supplies from either your local grocery store or

pharmacy and deliver them to you. We ask that you limit your

list to your needs for the upcoming week.

2. Pick up and deliver your prescriptions to you. (Birth date

needed for pickup).

3. Perform minor but urgent repairs in your home. For example,

simple plumbing issues such as sump pump malfunctions or

clogged/running toilets are doable. We ask that you try to

contact your regular repair person first, but we may be able to

help if he is not available.

We would like to concentrate our assistance towards those

without a support system or those parishioners who are

compromised as a result of Covid-19. Due to social distancing we

would not be able to drive you to appointments or bring you to

the grocery store or pharmacy. We would meet you at your door

with your supplies. We would need to enter your home only in the

event that a repair needed to be done.

While we don’t have the resources to help the entire community, if

you know of a neighbor or friend in need, we would try our best to

provide assistance. We are also putting out a call to all

parishioners who feel they may be able to assist with this effort and

be added to our call list, especially anyone under 60 years of age.

If help is needed, you may reach out to any of the following:
