Zakopane is a town in the extreme south of Poland. It

lies in the southern part of the Podhale region at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. From 1975 to 1998 it was in Nowy Sącz Province, but since 1999 it has been in Lesser Poland Province. It had a population of about 28,000 as of 2005. Zakopane is a center of Góral culture and is known informally as "the winter capital of Poland". It is a popular destination for mountaineering, skiing, and qualified tourism.

Zakopane is located in southernmost Poland near the border with Slovakia. It lies in a valley between the Tatra Mountains and Gubałówka Hill. It can be reached by train or by bus from district capital Kraków, which is about two hours away. Zakopane has an elevation of 800-1,000 meters above sea level. The town is centered at the junction of Krupówki and Kościuszko Streets.

Gubałówka - longitudinal elevation in the foothills Gubałówka (Gubałówka Range). It has a height of 1120 m at the eastern end of the 1129 m at the western end. It rises on the north- west side of Zakopane. On the east side Gubałówka is the highest situated village in Poland - A tooth, and the western Gubałówka adjacent Butorowskim Wierch. At the foot of the northern slopes of the valley stream Gubałówka Bystre New Bystre is located. The name comes from the Gubałówka located on the clearing Gubałówka, while the names of Gubała .

Krupówki are representative street in Zakopane, located in the city center. They begin at the intersection of Nowotarska and pulled over a kilometer promenade to the south. They are an extension of the street Zamoyski. Są przedłużeniem ulicy Zamoyskiego. There you can enjoy activities such as horse-drawn carriage ride, a photo with a teddy bear, etc. In the middle of Krupowki overlooking the Giewont .

Marine Eye is the largest and fourth deepest lake in the Tatra Mountains. It is located deep within the Tatra National Park, Poland, in the Rybi Potok Valley, at the base of the Mięguszowiecki Summits, in Lesser Poland Voivodeship. Marine Eye is a lake in Zakopane. When you wanna to go there, ju must go a 9 kilo meters ! When you go there you can see a beautiful Marine Eye, is so fantastic! If you are hungry, ju can go to bar and eat some. Over Marine Eye you can do some photos and walk on the rocks! This is so fantastic wiev.

Valley of five Ponds - Alpine, glacial valley with a length of 4.0 km and area of 6.5 square kilometers, is located in the Tatra National Park, at an altitude of approx. 1625 to 1900 m asl Mieczyslaw Klimaszewski believes that it is "suspended and nieodmłodzonym Pliocene section of the valley." The landscape of the valley formed granite peaks of the High Tatras, extensive slap, rubble large boulders, scree slopes, shimmering surfaces of the lakes, grasslands and expanses of pine. Glacier carved valley bottom extensive crescent-shaped with apexes pointing northwest (under Świnica) and northeast (under Swistowa Czuba). In the valley there are several glacial lakes with a total area of 61 ha.
