OBJECTIVE
To continue and develop my career as a mechanical engineer in the industrial automotive environment.
EDUCATIONB.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology GPA 3.5With classes focused on manufacturing, and automationSouthern Polytechnic State University, Marietta, GA
WORK HISTORY
Manufacturing Engineer 8/15-PresentTI Automotive Lavonia, GA
PFMEA alignment with control plan and process flow Installed and programmed cognex vision system Validated machine parameters were correct Correlated with quality to measure and maintain part integrity Performed time studies to find bottleneck in processes Helped controls engineers program robots for faster part flow
Mechanical Engineer 2/15-8/15E&I Engineering USA Corp. Anderson, SC
Helping to setup parts library since the company is in start up phase Research and develop new products Designed projects to meet customers’ demands Programmed CNC Sheet metal punch Manage a team of graphic technicians Perform certification test on new products Perform simple load calculations for frame designs Develop new manufacturing processes to speed up assembly Analyze cost of manufacturing Refine processes to make manufacturing cheaper Design products using Solidworks Sheet Metal Correspond with customers for project approval Create drawings for manufacturing production parts Performed research and design on new parts to improve manufacturability
Manufacturing Engineer Co-op 5/12-12/13 (alternating semesters)ZF Industries LLC. Gainesville, GA
Designed a center drill fixture that reduced set-up times by fifteen percent and helped to reduce changeover times by twenty percent.
Installed and programmed a vision system to perform a one hundred percent inspection on each cycle. The gauge system was integrated into the machines using PLCs to prevent further defective parts (i.e. Poka Yoke). After installation, no further escapes to date.
Composed and developed a training video for the vision systems to ensure consistent training among operators. The video was recommended for submission for a corporate wide
quality award (TQM). Designed, built, programmed, integrated, and implemented a complete
automatic gauge system using a laser and a PLC to measure the roll close on the bottom of ball joints. After the implementation of the laser device, there were no further escapes from the plant.
Designed several Go/No-Go gauges to improve immediate inspection of components before being inspected
Machined several small fixtures for projects in the plants fabrication shop Designed and printed small fixtures using a 3D printer
