our world is changing ...

faster than before

Increasingly, our online lives breed a lack of inhibition in ways not seen offline.

The internet is a reflection of our society and that mirror is going to be reflecting what we see. If we do not like what we see in that mirror the problem is not to fix the mirror, we have to fix society.

Should we be concerned about online predators?

This breaks my heart!

Why are we so obsessed with the registered sex

offender side of the puzzle when the troubled

kids are right in front of us?

Why are we so obsessed with the Internet side of

the puzzle when so many more kids are

abused in their own homes?

I feel like this whole conversation has turned into a

distraction. Money and time is being spent focusing

on the things that people fear

rather than the very real and

known risks that kids face.

Online predators aren’t as big of a concern as the media makes them out to be.

We, as parents and teachers, have the biggest impact on our kids.

Kids learn what they see ...

Empowered by the internet in ways that weren’t available to us as kids; our kids are doing amazing things online ...

they share the value of kindness

in closing ...

These words have never been more true than today ...(how ironic Ann Frank would never appreciate the depth of the truth she wrote)

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment beforestarting to improve the world.”
