He was 79 years of age. Kenneth Blair Pugh was born in Saltcoats, SK on April 12, 1937. Ken was raised in the Bredenbury area and as a youth helped in the family business buying and selling horses and cattle. He was an ex- ceptional athlete and excelled in both hockey and baseball. He worked for a brief stint for CP Rail in Bredenbury before he began a trade as a meat cutter. His meat cutter career took him to progressive positions in Swift Current, Yorkton, Melville, Regina and then Saskatoon. During his time in Yorkton, he boarded with his future in-laws (didn’t know it at the time), Henry & Minnie McInnes and fell in love with their daughter, Pat. They got married in Yorkton on August 21, 1960 and settled in Regina. They had three sons: Perry, Terry and Brian. In 1964, Ken accepted a sales position from York Drugs and relocated to Yorkton. Forever wanting to be an entrepreneur, Ken & Pat bought a franchise, Precision Bearing, which was later bought out by Bearing & Transmission. After spending 10 years as a Manager of Bearing & Transmission, the entrepreneurial bug hit Ken again and he opened up K & P Meat Arena, which was the only full service meat shop in Yorkton at the time. Ken later went to try other ventures, which included Truck Line Parts & Snap On Tools, sold advertising/promotional products, owned Dickie-Dee Ice Cream Bikes, had the jewellery franchise, Chain By The Inch and also sold Beef Jerky products. In 1989, Ken found his dream job and worked as the Sales Manager at Medi-Chair in Yorkton. He purchased the franchise in June of 1991 and the business prospered under his management. Health issues forced him to sell the business in September of 2015. Ken’s recreational time was spent coaching his 3 sons in hockey and baseball. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing and attending many major events such as travelling to Minneapolis watching Blue Jays games and going to NHL games, especially watching Wayne Gretzky play in Edmonton. Ken and Pat enjoyed their trips to Hawaii and Mexico, as well as Branson/Nashville where they travelled with their good friends, Buddy & Geraldine Boudreault. They also loved their golf trips with Ruth & Art Loucks which covered courses in Alberta, BC and United States. Memorable moments were had with their 3 sons going on numerous camping trips where they took pleasure in fishing, site-seeing and exploring new adventures. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Griffith & Ida Pugh; his in-laws, Henry & Minnie McInnes; sister-in-law, Joan Dillon; niece, Debbie Dillon and son, Terry Pugh. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Pat, son Perry (Mary) and granddaughters, Kristen & Sara; daughter-in- law, Lori Pugh; granddaughters, Tracy (Vern), Laura (Landon) and Paulina; son Brian (Laurie), granddaughter, Nicole (Chris) and grandson, Easton. The funeral service was held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Crystal Bailey, B.Th officiating. Granddaughter Kristen Pugh gave a family tribute and grandson- in-law Vern Randall gave thanks on behalf of the family. Music for the service was ‘Church in the Wildwood’ and ‘Fishin’ in the Dark’ . The interment took place in the Garden of Memories with granddaughters Tracy & Laura serving as the urn bearers. A memorial luncheon followed at the Family Centre. Memorials in Ken’s name may be made to the Yorkton SPCA, 79 7th Ave. S., Yorkton, SK, S3N 3V1 as tokens of remembrance. Condolences can be left at baileysfuneralhome.com. DOBKO - Mrs. Katie Dobko, beloved mother of Janice (Clarence) Schmidt, Beverley (Tom) Neifer and Terry Dobko was called to eternal rest in the presence of her family on June 6, three months short of her 99th birthday. She is survived also by six grandchildren, Trevor (Melanie Fakeley) Schmidt {Julia, Cassandra and their mother Nicole}, Karen (Kurt) Nistor {Alexander, Nikolas, Lukas}, Krista (Joe) Moffatt {Caitlin, Emily, Elizabeth}, Jennifer (Ed) Conway {Taylor, Aiden, Brooke}, Chad (Nancy) Neifer, Aaron (Tara) Neifer {Chloe, Amrik}, her sister Eva Signarowski and sisters-in-law Anne Dobko, Mary Panchuk and Anne Korotash. She was prede- ceased by her husband Frederick in 2004, her parents John and Apolina Tataryn, sisters Anne Kowalyk, Mary Zahayko, Josephine Spilchak, Sophie Chupa, Rose Gillis and brother Peter Tataryn. Kay married Frederick on October 19, 1947. They began their life together farming in the York Lake area where they raised their family. Within her busy life, Kay still found time to instil in her children the impor- tance of family traditions and cultural heritage. After many years of farm life Kay and Fred retired to Yorkton in 1994. Kay moved to St. Basil’s Manor in Regina in November, 2007 at the age of 90 where she lived her life with a God-given strength and was determined to be as independent as possible. She made new friends and treasured old friends in this new chapter of her life. Her lifelong pleasures were her family and being of service to others; she taught us that it is more important to give than to receive. Kay will always be remembered for the way she made everyone feel special and loved. This inspiration provided the foundation for her grandchildren to build their lives and pursue their dreams. She will be remembered by all for her ability to always put others before herself. The family is eternally grateful to Marnie and her team at Elmview Care Home for the exceptional care given in the last six weeks of Kay’s life. Rachael is 42 years old, she works in a bank and is financially secure. She has no children and has never been married. She is a very positive and outgoing person and is always making everyone around her smile. She is very active and works out 4-5 times/week. She loves all sports and gets really into games on tv, she’s a crazy fan she says! She used to

play lots of sports growing up and is still involved in a soft ball league and volleyball. She has lots of friends and said that she has a very active social life. She likes to have fun, throw her cares to the wind and enjoy her life. She views life as the glass is half full and she wants someone who is the same. She is looking for someone who can have fun with her and enjoy their remaining days laughing and living in pure bliss.

June 14, 2005They Say There is a Reason

Th ey say there is a reason,Th ey say that time will heal,But neither time nor reason,Will Change the way we feel,

For no-one knows the heartache,Th at lies behind our smiles,

No-one knows how many times,We have broken down and cried.

We want to tell you somethingSo there won’t be any doubt,

You’re so wonderful to think of,But so hard to be without.

COZY BUNGALOWThis cozy bungalow

may appear small from the street but, thanks to careful design, includes all the amenities a home-owner could wish for.

The covered entry leads into a foyer with a linen closet and coat cupboard on the left. Directly ahead is the great room, with a view to a covered deck and the back garden beyond. The gas fireplace in the great room will spread its glow as far as the open-plan

dining area and kitchen. The dining area

enjoys access to the cov-ered deck, and includes a large window. The kitchen separated from the great room and din-ing area by a work island, features a double sink lit by a corner window, as well as a pantry and plenty of counter space.

The laundry room is conveniently located near the kitchen, and includes a broom closet and coat cupboard, as well as access to the dou-ble garage.

The master suite over-

looks the back garden for privacy. Double basins and a glassed-in shower stall in the en-suite will ease the morning rush hour. Natural light will filter through the win-dow next to the soaker tub, and the roomy walk-in closet adjacent to the en-suite will accommo-date clothing and acces-sories.

The second and third bedrooms (which could serve as a den) share a three-piece bathroom. The third bedroom, over-looking the front garden, has an extra-wide win-

dow sill that could make a seating area, perfect for curling up with a good book.

An L-shaped stairway to the optional basement area is tucked in near the laundry room. Ceilings measure nine feet high on the main floor.

On the exterior, fin-ishes include stucco and decorative wooden shin-gles, as well as painted trim.

This home measures 46 feet wide and 61 feet, eight inches deep, for a total of 1,748 square feet, not including the option-al basement.

Plans for design 1-3-664 are available for $755 (set of 5), $815 (set of 8) and $863 for a super set of 10. B.C. residents add 7% Prov. Sales Tax. Also add $35.00 for Priority courier charges within B.C. or $65.00 outside of B.C. Please add 5% G.S.T. or 13% H.S.T. (where applicable) to both the plan price and postage charges.
