Beautification Project
Helping to create a warm, welcoming environment for children to learn and
be creative.
Visual learning is a vital tool to help children absorb information.
Visual aides help children of all ages in a variety of
ways:
• Listening & Attending
• Understanding & Responding
• Processing sequenced information
• Motivation & Play
• Following instructions and routines
• Clarification and permanent learning
Poster boards, bright colors, numbers, and letter charts will help to enhance a
child’s learning abilities.
The Plan:Beginning January 2014
The second Saturday of every month we will gather a group of 15-20 volunteers to come out to one of the selected YAL centers and do one of more of the following:
• Paint/Repair Interior Centers
• Hang Poster Boards and Pictures.
• Set-up Letter and/or Number Charts.
• Bring Any Needed School Supplies.
• Clean Up Grounds, Bring trees and Flowers to Plant Outside Centers.
Contacting:
• One Circle will contact the Captain of each station and/or the YAL center.
• Arrangements will be made a head of time to ensure how and when the plan will be implemented.
Methods for Action:
• Flyers and handouts will be made by One Circle to select/recruit volunteers.
• One Circle will be responsible for collecting materials and donations needed for the Beautification Project.
• Once Circle will coordinate with each YAL center and come to an agreement on how to enhance the quality of learning for the children.
