Audition Requirements 1. Major scales up to four sharps and flats in two octaves and natural minor
scales up to three sharps and flats, memorized. 2. Two prepared pieces, one slow and one fast, preferably an etude,
sonata or concerto movement. (An All-State etude may be used as one selection.)
3. Excerpt for Sinfonia, played at marked tempo. 4. Sight reading.

Expected skills for Sinfonia:
• Well-developed embouchure and breath support, an ear for basic intonation, clear articulation
• Demonstration of continuous vibrato
