    PRINCIPLE FAV range of double ferrule fittings work on the proven principle of two ferrules swaging to the tube when tightened. As the nut is tightened the front ferrule swages on to the tube making a prominent leak-proof seal and the back ferrule makes a positive impression on the tube

    PRINCIPLE TORQUE

    tube fittings do not twist the tube during installation. The fitting design ensures that all make and remake loading is transmitted axially to the tube. Fitting make-up is eased due to a silver plating of the tube nut threads, which acts as an effective lubricant and prevents galling.

    NO DISTORTION

    In make-up, there is no undue force in an outward direction to distort the fitting body or ferrules to cause interference between the ferrules and the nut. This assures that the nut will back off for disassembly and permits a greater number of end remarks.

    PERFECT SEALING

    Positive, reliable connections with FAV fittings have been qualified with exhaustive tests and experience in the manufacture of quality tube fittings. Specific product features such as burnished cones for superior sealing and exacting manufacturing tolerances for consistent product quality, all contribute to the effective sealing of the FAV fittings in tests after repeated remakes. Vibration and Impulse tests range prove outstanding sealing capability and fatigue resistance.

    TEMPERATURE DE-RATING FACTORS

    The allowable working pressure is determined by various temperatures. To determine the working pressure at the specific temperatures, multiply the working pressure at ambient temperature shown in table by the factor shown in table 1.Example: Tube SS316 1/2" O.D. x0.065" at 700 F.5100psix 0.82 = 4182psi. Therefore 4182 psi is the maximum allowable working pressure of SS316 1/2" O.D. x 0.065" wall tubing

    TUBING SELECTION GUIDELINES

    RULES FOR EFFECTIVE

    IMPLEMENTATION

    1. For leak-free sealing, the tubing surface is very important. The tubing must have a good surface free

    from scratches, draw mark, flat spots or dirt. 2. In case of welded tubing, it should not have a

    visible poor bead on its outside diameter.

    3. Using like tubing and fitting material is essential for the same thermal compatibility and corrosion

    resistance. The tubing material should be compatible with the process fluid, temperature and

    environment. 4. Tubing must be softer than fitting material. When

    tubing and fittings are made of the same material, the metal tubing must be fully annealed.

    5. Tubing hardness must be selected according to the information in the table.

    6. Tubing with oval or out undness appearance may not fit into the fitting. Do not force the tubing into

    the fittings, it may damage the fitting sealin
