JOUrurJAL OF ADOLESCENT HEALTH 1992;13:337 ANNOUNCEMENT With support from Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories, the Society for Adolescent Medicine (S.A.M.) sponsors this annual professorship to provide an educational experience in Adolescent Medicine for a deserving group of health care providers that might not other- wise have the opportunity to benefit from the Pro- fessor’s expertise. The program will cover the expenses of a 2 to 3 day visit to be arranged at the convenience of the recipient program and the Pro- fessor sometime from the Spring through the Fall of 1993. Programs will be awarded on the basis of their ability to provide a large local audience, preferably made up primarily of professionals concerned with adolescent health. In addition, it would be desirable for the group being awarded the professorship to have affiliation with a Residency Training Program, so that physicians-in-training and other health care trainees could have exposure to the Professor. The Professor for 1993 is Robert W. Blum, M.D., Ph.D. Professor Blum is well known for his contri- butions to adolescent health care in the areas of chronic disease, advocacy, and international health issues for adolescents. In addition, he has a broad range of clinical interests. He is the immediate past- President of the Socilety for Adolescent Medicine.
