FIELD STATION AT DEPOE BAYTHE SITE IS LOCATED AT THE ENTRANCE OF DEPOE BAY. DEPOE BAY IS A SMALL HARBOR ON THE
OREGON COAST. IT IS SURROUNDED BY CLIFF AND HILLSIDE & FEELS VERY PROTECTED FROM THE RUGGED COASTLINE THROUGH THE WINDING CHANNEL. THE FIELD STATION IS EMBEDDED INTO THE NORTHWEST CLIFFSIDE. THE CONCEPT OF THE FIELD STATION IS A CLUSTER OF ROOMS LATCHED TO THE CLIFFSIDE. THIS ALLOWS EACH SPACE TO BE DIRECTED TOWARD THE HARBOR AND FEEL AS IF IT HAS ITS OWN EXPERIENCE. THE SPACES ARE CONNECTED WITH A CENTRAL CIRCULATION
PIECE WITH MEZZANINES.
PLUG-IN GALLERYTHE COPENHAGEN INFILL GALLERY WAS A PROJECT DONE WHILE AT THE DANISH INSTITUTE FOR
STUDY ABROAD IN 2014.THE PLUG-IN GALLERY IS LOCATED IN GLENTEVEJ PARK IN NORDVEST, COPENHAGEN.
NORDVEST IS AT THE EDGE OF ONE OF THE HIPPEST, MOST LIVELY AREAS OF THE CITY. THE AREA IS HIGHLY DIVERSE AND IS BEGINNING TO TRANSFORM FROM A GRITTY OUTSKIRT INTO A NEW VIVACIOUS PART OF COPENHAGEN. NOW THE PARK IS RELITIVELY UNUSED AND RUNDOWN,
HOWEVER THE PLUG-IN GALLERY AIMS TO ACTIVATE THE SPACE. LOCATED UNDER AN OPEN ARCH OF THE F-LINE TRAIN TRACKS THE GALLERY ENGAGES THE PASSERBY FROM ALL DIRECTIONS OF
APPROACH. THE DESIGNERS WORKSPACES JUT OUT FROM THE TRACKS OVERHANG, OFFERING A VIEW IN TO ENTICE COMMUTERS. THE GALLERY LOCKS INTO THE ARCH TRANFORMING THE
ARCHWAY INTO A OPEN EXHIBITION SPACE. THE BUILDING HOUSES A SMALL OBJECT GALLERY, COFFEE STAND, AND LOUNGE TO ATTRACT VISITORS AND BRING PEOPLE TO A LESS VISITED
PART OF THE CITY.
PODIUM DESKTHE PODIUM DESK IS A STANDING DESK DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THE USER COMFORTABLY. THE BAY SHAPE AND HANDLES ARE INTENDED TO EMPOWER THE USER WHILE WORKING. IT CAN BE
EASILY DISASSEMBLED FOR TRANSPORTATION.
EDUCATION LIBRARY LUMINAIREThe luminaire was designed for the library in the education building of the University of Oregon. It acts as a
symbol of enlightenment; the more you open it, the more light that is cast. It is adjustable to suit the needs of the user. It can provide a powerful glow or just act as accent lighting.
