ACT/IAC Document Vetting Process
• 1) IAC to internally review documents, vet them, resolve issues, and determine corrections. Upon IAC completion, the document is iteratively submitted to the DAS Co-Chairs for review and approval. Minutes of IAC meetings will be posted to the IAC website. Document is finalized by IAC leadership and Government referees and owned by IAC
• 2) The DAS co-chairs will determine when IAC document is ready for DAS reference
• 3) When documents enter the DAS Review phase, the DAS will post its own version of document, with references cited to the IAC version, to the DAS’s own private collaboration site and solicit comments from the DAS participants as the new document enters the DAS review phase.
• 4) Following DAS vetting and review of any document, the refined draft is submitted on the DAS public wiki for public comment, while still the authority of the DAS.
www.actgov.org
Document Vetting Process
• 5) The IAC supports oversight of the process by tracking the comments, the topic, whether concurrence or rejection was adjudicated, provide remarks, and update the document. All of this is similar to the process that the DAS has used in the past to produce its deliverables.
• 6) Following DAS vetting and review of any document, the refined draft is submitted on the DAS public wiki for public comment, while still the authority of the DAS
• 7) Finalized draft of DAS owned document is submitted to the CIO Council for approval
