Adding additional Exchange Online and SharePoint Online functionality to our Office 365 Education E1 plan

Rebranding “Office 365 Education E1” as “Office 365 Education” Office 365 Education E3/E4/Exchange Plan 2 is limited to existing customers for renewal and

may receive adjusted pricing at anniversary and additional orders

• Guidance to customers with E1 Customers with E1 will receive new features and functionality automatically (no action

required) and see the name changed from “Office E1” to “Office 365 Education” Renew to Office 365 Education (same SKU as E1 prior to September 1)

• Guidance to customers with E3/E4/Exchange Plan 2 Customers with E3/E4/EXP2 should renew on E3/E4/EXP2 (same SKUs) to keep same

functionality E3 and E4 will continue to be available at an adjusted price for renewal, anniversary and

additional orders. Note: See FAQ for how a customer can get the equivalent of E3/E4

FAQWhat do these changes mean for existing O365 Education E3/E4/Exchange Plan 2 customers?The Office 365 Education offering may eventually replace the existing O365 Education E3/E4/EXP2. However, until we have a seamless transition path in place, existing E3/E4 customers can continue to renew their agreements and add seats at pricing updated to reflect plan changes.

How can a customer continue purchasing E3/E4/Exchange Plan 2?• EES/School: E3/E4/EXP2 will continue to be available for renewal and anniversary at the adjusted price on the lead

status pricelist • OVS-ES: E3/E4/EXP2 will continue to be available on pricelist for renewals. Promo code will be available to partner to

enable adjusted pricing at anniversary – no LE/LS touch required.• MPSA: E3/E4/EXP2 will continue to be available for renewal at the adjusted price (starting 10/1)• Direct: E3/E4/EXP2 will continue to be available for renewal at the adjusted price through the admin portal

Is there a date in which existing customers must move from E3/E4 to the new offering?No. We plan to keep Office 365 Education E3/E4 available for renewal into the foreseeable future.

When will Azure Rights Management be available in VL?The Azure Rights Management for Office 365 $0 SKU (Azure Rights Mgmt Svs Acad, G3U-00004) will be available via EES/School through VL beginning October 1st. We recommend following one of two courses between now and October 1:• Have the customer wait until October 1st to acquire the SKU (G3U-00004), or• Have the customer acquire the SKU through the direct channelNote: There is an Azure Rights Management SKU# QC9-00002 inadvertently on the September Price List. This SKU should not be transacted and it will be removed October 1.
