From the Pastor’s Heart…

Several weeks ago I began a series of articles to help us discover what

it looks like to be Kingdom focused and how we can become kingdom

oriented. In my second article, we wrestled with the differences be-

tween consumer and missional churches. (I got some feedback con-

cerning the differences and some misunderstanding.) Since that post,

I have taken several weeks to reflect and pray. The result is a new

sermon series through the book of Acts, that I have entitled Break-

through. My prayer is that we will understand how God prepares the

church to fulfill the Great Commission. I’m ready for a breakthrough!

I want to give a big thanks to Joel and Holly Cox for their great work

with our Children’s Bible Drill. All of our children have done well.

Three drillers (Daniel Cox, Keri Beth Cox, and Isaac Atkins) competed

in the state bible drill on Saturday the 27th. They each did great!

Their hard work and effort resulted in two State Winners and a State

Superior, all in their first year competing!
