We use from 11" to 33" rolls on our presses. We stock 14 different web widths at this newspaper and commercial printing operation. We have demands from various customers with differing size needs. Most times we don’t have the inventory on-hand so we need cut size rolls to be turned around very quickly. We grab some rolls from stock and run them over a RollRazor. RollRazor’s unique cutting blade is able to cut from the outside diameter to the core in one pass, leaving the origi-nal mill wind and core in place. A slitter/rewinder needs to unwind an entire roll by pulling the web through a slitting knife to reduce its size while replacing the core, adding extra costs.
