ENABLING THE CREATION OF A STRATEGY TO OPTIMIZE CITY SERVICES AND LIVING, MINIMIZING MOBILITY AND EXTERNAL COSTS

Nowadays , with the exponential increase of population, buildings, cars and services, the city became a complex environment with air pollution, traffic, waste and disorganization. Finding solutions to reduce costs and constrains and improve quality of life, has emerged has a major challenge for modern societies.

CEiIA’s strategy seeks to empower smart cities around . The main strategic lines of action for this framework are:

o  Integrated Mobility: Implement solutions regarding public transport, parking, electric charging network, bike-sharing, etc

o  Smart Indicators: Based on the Smart Cities Index 2020 developed by INTELI, the goal is to explore intelligent solutions in order to improve weaknesses detected

o  Intelligent Sensing: Making use of the available infrastructure and embedding it with smart sensors that become aware of the city environment in real-time

MONITORING – Smart Connected Cities Center (S3C)

o  Supporting city operators activity for different services, assuming the control and management of all the operations and business solutions, with an integrated perspective

o  Providing decision makers and users with real-time information and detailed reports about the impacts from their behaviors in the evolution and metabolism of their own cities, according to the following dimensions: mobility & transports, environment & energy

o  Data collection, information processing and knowledge production, for the identification of behavioral patterns, in order to improve the quality of cities, communities and operators management

Empowering Smart Cities
