What is a Works Cited page?
• List of all sources you used to write your paper.• Alphabetical by author’s last name.• Last page of your paper.• Protects writer from accusations of plagiarism.• Helps researchers who want to know where to
find more info on the subject.

Works Cited
• Title: centered, top of new page
•No quotes, underlining, etc.
First line of citation at margin, Indent next lines 5 spacesCalled a “hanging indent”
Example:

Double space all references.

• Do capitalize: each word in a title of an article, book, etc.• Don’t capitalize: short prepositions, for, about, of, to, or conjunctions, and, but, yet
articles, a, an, the unless it is the first word.
Author’s Names
• Invert (last name, first name)• Work with more than one author:
Invert only first author’s nameput a comma after it, add other author’s
names
