Theraisingandinstallationofheavy load shall be done during daylight hours unlessadequategenerallighting arrangementsareprovidedattheplace of work. Adequatearrangementsforfirefighting should be provided & portablefire extinguishersareavailableatdifferent places.Crewmustbewellconversant withtheuseoffireextinguishers/fire pump GENERAL PRECAUTIONS Astandardrailingsshouldguardevery open sided D/Floor & D/board Rigshouldbeprovidedwithladder arrangements. Emergencyescapedevice&Fall prevention device should be incorporated. TousePersonalprotectionequipment (PPE) by every crew personnel. GENERAL PRECAUTIONS Thewellheadshouldbewellprotected against falling objects The D/Floor should be reasonably clean of oil, mud ,so as to prevent from slipping. Floorsaverandcrownsavermustbe checked every day. F/brake&Hydrometricbrakesystem should be working condition always. Casinglineinspectionmustbecarried out. Safety Practice Atthebeginningofeveryshifttheinstrumentsandcontrolsatdrillers console,D/Ws,pumps,casingline, catline&BOPshallbeexaminedbythe SDE&heshallsatisfyhimselfthatthese are in good working order No person remains in position of danger ator near the rotary table during operation.
