Home Office Forces - Mix
• Within the 43 Home Office forces the broad workforce mix currently equates to 64.4% officers and 35.6% staff.
• In the case of the most mixed forces there is over 50% staff.
• If all forces were to mirror that position, increasing the mix of officers and staff would result in a more diverse workforce, but with approximately 28,000 fewer officers and with savings in the region of £400m.
