What has been learned? Importance of a vision and leadership Always have your contacts A community assessment enables collaborative

partners to gather information about the strengths, concerns, and conditions of children, families, and the community. 

Techniques for gathering assessment information : focus groups, community forums, interviews and surveys, and action research

Small-group approach helps families feel comfortable sharing their concerns.

Challenges in the project Finding a male single parent to show a balance of

single parenting Women's Action Group Meetings are held every

1st and 3rd Wednesday at 6:00pm of each month, but no one to accompany the group.
