woman diet special 31 dec 2015 celeb slim spread one
TRANSCRIPT
Zumba fanatic Lorraine, 56, made
no secret of her love of the
cardio-busting dance class and
shared her passion with the world
by releasing the DVD Living
To The Max, with her own Zumba
instructor and good friend,
Maxine Jones.
‘When I joined Maxine’s
class it changed my life,’ said
the size 10 TV presenter,
who admitted she is more
body confident in her fifties
than she ever was before.
‘I lost two stone and, more
importantly, I kept it off. I feel
fitter, healthier and happier
than ever before. Don’t get me
wrong, it has been two years
of graft to get this figure, but
it’s never been a chore.’
Nigella, 56, shaped up before
returning to our TV screens in
2015. The size-12 celebrity cook
admitted she had put on some
weight and wanted to slim to be
healthier, not thin.
‘It’s certainly true my weight
went up – that happens in life
sometimes,’ revealed the star of
Simply Nigella. ‘I have never been
on a diet to try to lose weight. I
feel like I haven’t lost weight, but
I’m possibly in better shape.’
Mixing healthy eating with
a slow form
of yoga called
Iyengar
certainly
worked
wonders for
the busy
mum-of-two.
She also
reveals that
she fills up
on superfood
avocado to
avoid unhealthy
snacking.
And there’s
one thing you’ll
never find
anti-sweating
Nigella doing
– that’s jumping
up and down as
‘you go cortisol
crazy,’ she joked.

Bellingham, actress
Amanda, 58, took action
to shape up.
‘When I weighed myself,
it was a terrible shock,’ she
said. ‘So the next day I went
on a regime similar to the
5:2 diet – two days of 500
cals, three days on Slimming
World and at weekends
I did what I wanted.’
But Amanda has insisted
she doesn’t plan on losing
any more weight. ‘In this
profession, there’s a lot of
pressure to look – and stay
looking – a certain way,’ the
actress explained. ‘I’ve gone
up and down in weight and
always thought I don’t care
what they think – real
women aren’t sticks and
I like playing real women.’
adeleAdele was back in the spotlight
with her new album 25, but it
wasn’t just her voice making
headlines – the Grammy winner
also shed around 3st. The Skyfall
singer, 27, cut down on sugar and
alcohol to ‘get in shape for myself,
but not to be a size zero or
anything like that.’ And when there
was time, she also hit the gym.
‘I don’t enjoy going,’ said the
mum of Angelo, three. ‘I do like
doing weights, but I don’t like
looking in the mirror. Blood vessels
burst on my face really easily,
so when I’m lifting weights I’m
conscious not to let it happen.’
