Wobabybasics is an innovative sustainable children’s wear company founded by Sherry Poon, a Canadian designer living in Shanghai, China.

We offer uncluttered, comfortable and functional playwear designed for active children (0-8 years), their parent’s sanity, and the planet.

In addition to seasonless organic gift sets and kids underwear, Wobabybasics offers two seasonal collections annually that draws on everyday Asian experiences and influences.

Currently stocked in over eight countries in offline and online platforms to provide an effortless way for parents to dress their children while caring for the environment.

Our tops and bottoms are designed and sized to be transeasonal - easily worn alone or layered with pieces from current and previous collections.

Wobabybasics collaborates with local designers, like Pinyin Press, to design limited edition patterns for the What Really Matters Project. A portion of proceeds from all What Really Matters Project product sales supports children in need, including the Hui Xin Disabled Children Center in Shanghai.



Introduce your child to Chinese celebratory culture with the limited edition Noodle Bowl Pattern. Noodles are commonly eaten during birthday celebrations and weddings as a symbol of longevity. Slurp them with a spoon or wind them with chopsticks, miàntiáo meal times are fun!

Pinyin Press seeks to raise a smile, evoke experience and most of all, connect people more closely to the inherent charms of Asia. The Noodle Bowl Pattern seeks to communicate some of the designer’s own observations, appreciation and fascination with a culture that inspires on every level.

Our organic cotton is not coated with toxic resins to prevent shrinkage and will shrink up to 3%. However, we’ve cut the clothes larger to take that into account.

Machine Wash at 30 or 40 degrees. Tumble dry low heat or better yet, hang to dry.
