Residents and Non Resident Rates

A “resident” is defi ned as anyone living within the geographical boundaries of the Hanover Park Park District. Residents in Hanover Park Park Dis-trict have priority for limited programs. You may be required to pay the non-resident fee even though you live in Hanover Park because the boundaries of the village are not the same as the boundar-ies of the Park District. Non-residents may register for programs for a fee that is 50% percent higher than the resident fee or $15 over the resident fee, whichever is the smaller amount.

Transfers

Requests must be made in person. A $5 fee will apply for most transfers. A $10 fee will apply for Preschool, After School Club, Before School Club and day camp programs.

Refund Policy

Refunds will not be granted for class(es) missed or forgotten. All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. Forms for refunds are available at the Park District offi ce. Refunds requested for a program prior to the start of a class will be assessed a $5 fee. A request for a refund after the program begins, but prior to the 2nd meeting, will also be assessed an additional prorated fee based upon the per class cost. NO refunds will be granted after the 2nd class with the exception of a written medical excuse with the fee based on the prorated cost per class and the normal service fee. Refunds for trips will not be given unless the trip is canceled by the Park District or a replacement is found to take the trip. A $10 refund fee applies for Preschool, After School Club, Before School Club, and day camp programs.

Photo Policy

The Hanover Park Park District reserves the right to photograph or videotape participants in Park District programs, facilities or parks for the Dis-trict's use.

Hanover Park Park District | 630.837.2468 | hpparks.org

Bike Path and Trails Maintenance PolicyMother Nature will be allowed to take her own course of action with respect to our park district bike paths and trails, located at Community Park, Ahlstrand Park, Harbor Park East-West, Nautilus Park and Ranger Park. In Illinois there is no legal duty to clear paths or trails. But if an agency voluntarily takes on the job, liability may be imposed if it is not done properly.

The Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA) recommends that we limit path maintenance to a thorough season-ending in-spection and documentation of irregularities, that we fi x any haz-ards and that we post signs conveying the message that users of the paths and trails do so at their own risk.

Northwest Special Recreation AssociationThe Hanover Park Park District is a member of a cooperative agree-ment among 17 park districts which forms the Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA). The NWSRA team of full-time Therapeutic Recreation professionals and trained part-time staff of-fer safe, fun and high quality year-round recreation opportunities to individuals with disabilities of all ages and ability levels. For more information on NWSRA, brochures may be picked up at the park district main offi ce or at the NWSRA offi ce at Park Central, 3000 W. Central Road in Rolling Meadows. NWSRA may be contacted at (847) 392-2848 (voice) 392-2855 (TTY) or 392-2870 (fax). Check us out on the web at nwsra.org.

Thank you to the Village of Hanover Park, Lions Club, and Hanover Park Park FoundationThe staff and commissioners of the Hanover Park Park District take this opportunity to sincerely thank the Village of Hanover Park and the Hanover Park Lions Club for their generous fi nancial donations that make participation in recreation programs possible for the chil-dren of families experiencing fi nancial hardship. Working together, the Hanover Park Youth Activity Supplement Program of the Village of Hanover Park, the Lions Club, and the Hanover Park Park Foun-dation have assisted many families in Hanover Park to provide ac-tivities such as karate, dance, soccer, basketball, gymnastics, swim lessons, aquatic facility passes, and summer camp for their children. Since 1998, more than 500 individual scholarships have been awarded totaling more than $50,000.00 Thank you, Lions Club and Village of Hanover Park. Through your dedication, cooperation, and generosity you have enriched the lives of many children by giving them the opportunity to participate in our Park District’s programs.
