FRom CHELAN: Head west on Highway 150 (manson Highway) toward manson and follow the brown information signs with the cross-country skier on it. travel about 2 miles to boyd road, turn right and follow boyd road up approximately 7 miles to Cooper Gulch road. on the left will be echo Valley ski Hill. Continue past the echo Valley ski area and take a right up the hill another 2 miles to the lower or the upper echo ridge parking lots.

the sWeetest trail saturday 2/19A very sweet excursion indeed! Come enjoy the spectacular scenery, warm hospitality, and great chocolate treats at stops throughout the Lake Chelan Valley, most located along the beautifully groomed trails of echo ridge.

“snoWga” saturday, 2/19 & 20Grab your snow shoes and join yogachelan on the shoe trail at echo ridge. Warm up with 30 minutes of yoga then take off for the trail. this guided trek will last about an hour and a half with stops along the way for yoga Poses in the snow or just to enjoy the beautiful views. at the end of your journey, relax with 30 more minutes of yoga, and then enjoy refreshing treats and warm drinks. never done yoga before? never snow shoed? this is the perfect event for you!!! a great chance to experience both for the first time.

snoWmobile buCKet runsunday, 2/20Join the Lake Chelan snowmobile Club in the 2nd annual bucket run during the trax weekend. the event will start and end at the antilon sno-Park, just outside of manson. the event is open to all levels of riders and families. finish up the run and head back to the sno-park for fun, fire, food and some prizes. the loop should only take about 2 hours, so that leaves time to play around along the way.

aCtivities ruby theatreChelan’s Historic ruby theatre has been in consistent operation since the summer of 1914 when the films were silent and movie houses were designed to host live performances.

the ruby brought state-of-the-art equipment and amenities to the small town of Chelan. the original projector was an arc-type and was soon replaced by ‘modern motion picture machines’ in 1919. in 1930 the theatre was able to purchase talking picture equipment, taking the entertainment to a new level.

though many renovations have occurred over the years, the original pressed tin ceiling and horseshoe balcony remain to preserve the feel of the historic building. the proscenium arch above the stage was widened in 1974 to accommodate the new cinema size.

the ruby theatre shows the best in modern films every week and plays an integral part in the Chelan community, hosting

school plays, dance recitals, concerts and workshops. for ‘cinema in memorable surroundings.’ the ruby is the place to be!

Chelan’s Historic ruby theatre was listed as a national Historic Place in 1991, and one step inside the building will prove its worthiness to any audience. new seats installed in 2008

make the movie viewing comfortable, and attention to detail in the décor provides a memorable experience to all.
