What good is a 5 year warranty when it covers nothing or takes a year to get your watch back. Watches are like people in one regard looks are not everything. If they would improve on customer service and quality control they would improve their bottom-line. Oh well 3 Lastest Threads by richc1958 Thread Forum Last Poster Replies Views Last Post WHY ???? WHY ????

Being fairly new to this watch collecting thing I have a question about Invicta.. My question is

this....Is how can be so faithful to Invicta when they cannot get any sort of Customer Service

from them. I just finished my thesis for my Masters on this subject and customer service is

vital. For example 9 months to receive a screw, watches broke upon receipt. I know many here

have them and like the watches as I do admit they make some very nice looking pieces but that

is nothing compared to poor quality and poor service. In fact there are a few Invictas I would

like to buy but I never will do to the poor service, just not worth the potential headaches if there

is a problem especially when there are some really great watch companies that deliver a better

product and do understand them meaning of customer service. What good is a 5 year warranty

when it covers nothing or takes a year to get your watch back. Watches are like people in one

regard looks are not everything. If they would improve on customer service and quality control

they would improve their bottom-line. Oh well

I think it's all about personal preference and how much a person is willing to put up with, in the

end thats really all that matters. I know when I started having problems and going thru the CS

process my veiwpoint changed, I still love Invicta but I will be alot more selective with my

purchases (if I do indeed continue to buy their brand).

RICH...

I know you hear this from people and they are mostly valid. I have been buying Invicta for over

1 year. I have NEVER had a problem with ANY of the watches I have purchased. I purchase

them from a variety of sources (ie: SNBC, Web, ebay) and the consistancy continues. I have

seen the customer service improve lately. I think the problem is growing pains from a company

that has and is growing FAST! With over 1,000 different variety of watches, affordable prices

and excellent quality they are a proven WINNER. This is why I am a loyal and committed

investor of Invicta watches. If you add in the personal touch of Michael Davis (technical brands

manager) who co-hosts many watch shows with the expertise of Tim Temple and Jim Skelton.

You will find no other brand like Invicta. Thanks for your time & a healthy New Year!

I think the OP has made his position clearly known is some of his 10 posts.

I do not know how so many of you could be so loyal to this brand when they can not or will not

when I say overhaul they over hauled it it looks brand new it took 5 weeks from the time I sent

it to my return. You do get what you pay for buy lower end stuff get lower end CS. No more

Invicta for me not because of the watches in fact they do make some very beautiful pieces but it

is their no service after the sale. Take the money and run should be their motto and its too bad.

Ive been collecting for exactly one yr now and have almost 70 watches with not one problem. I

also other than a couple 7750 keep it under 300.00 so if I do have a problem it wont hurt me.

Thats Why.

1. As I pointed out above there are 1,000's of posts on this topic, and if you'll look at the forum's

TOS it states:

Repetitive posts by one user or posting a new thread when one is already easily accessible can

be considered spam. It's hard enough to let community members easily track this forum as days

go on; they don't need to wade through two dozen threads about the same thing every day. TRY

USING THE SEARCH FUNCTION FIRST!

2. You come in as a new member to a forum populated by Invicta enthusiasts and start making

negative posts right out of the gate. It's not surprising your welcome hasn't been with open arms.

When you're first a guest in someone's home, it doesn't help by saying you hate the drapes and

the carpeting needs to be cleaned. A different approach would very likely have achieved

different results.

3. Happy holidays to you too.

You've done nothing but post negative comments regarding Invicta or any other brand that

Invicta owns since you've joined us. I suggest keeping off the Invicta forum if the company

bothers you to this extent. There are many other brands to follow here.

I did answer your question

I told you on an earlier post: (1) they are improving (2) grown to fast and have growing pains.

As an educator and a businessman I know and you should also, that rapid growth brings

problems both good and bad. Your question IS ANSWERED so please move on to another

subject, try POSITIVITY...By the way who is the who? Another watch website, there are many

haters out there who like to bash Invicta - it's called jealousy and people who like to live in

NEGATIVITY!

Growing pains perhaps. Arrogance (bad spelling?) could play into this as well. __________________

To the original poster who wonders how anyone can support or buy from the Invicta Watch

Group (new name in 2004), use the power of your Master's Degree. Note that the original

company started in 1837. Per "Watches International VI" page 308, "the group owns workshops

around the world." They moved a larger percentage of production to its facility in Switzerland.

"Invicta also became the first watchmaker to use the Ronda Startech 5040.B and 5050.C caliber

movements." They continue to use exotic materials such as diamonds and meteorite on their

dials. What I am seeing is Invicta may know a bit about watch making.

But what has been said about Russian timepieces is that Russian made watches are not as

elegant as their Swiss counterparts, are built very sturdy, and are repairable. What you are really

touching upon is called, "Serviceability," which affects Customer Service. I used to work in this

field for many years not in watchmaking but for large volume copier equipment.

It takes a very bold company to make serviceability decisions that affect the design of any

machine system. Even a miniaturized machine like a watch movement. Using more common

screws across a number of movements, fewer if any lubricants for a movement, clearly marked

and color coded areas for adjustment, and advanced diagnostic troubleshooting flow charts for

repair techs takes upper management leadership to embrace and go forward with Serviceability

and economic Life Cycle Costs of a product.

For example, it is unfortunate if one has to wait to receive a particular screw or fastener. But if

you think about it, the screw may have been made from a specific manufacturing run. Spares

may not be, "just in a bin." All parts are assigned a part number per a, "Bill of Materials -

BOM." And go under spare parts inventory management. Which all costs money to do. Higher

money if you want to do the job well with lower, "dead on arrival" situations. Or less repair

incidents.

I encourage the original poster to write The Invicta Watch Group directly with his stated

concerns. Not air them here in a information exchange Forum. A well stated and sent letter, I

think, will be better received than a post simply labeled, "Why????"

Please don't criticize the customer base for continuing to support the Invicta Watch Group.

Invicta pays for this Forum that we can use for FREE. They paid for parts of the First National

WGGT in Eden Prairie last year. Let's give them some respect while also offering constructive

suggestions to improve Customer Service (which ANY company can improve upon when

management, funds, technology and logistics come together).

Interesting statement , who told you we would act this way - The problem with your

question is it is based on your opinion not facts , you see I own numerous Invicta

watches ( over 300 ) and have no issues with any. I did need cust service once and I

followed the rules on the web site and filed an e-case and mailed my watch out. 8

weeks later it was returned in perfect condition so turn around time is long but they

do fix the watch and thats what counts. So as you can see all the holes in your

statement they fixed my watch when it was broken UNDER WARRANTY that you

say does not exist and all the watches I own are flawless and in perfect condition

but you say they send out only broken ones. The truth is no company is perfect it is

impossible but no company produces watches like Invicta at these prices with such

variety. If you do not like them don't buy them but I judge how I am treated and by

facts ,I do not listen to baseless rumors.

Jeff D... Thanks very much. I used to be part of a Serviceability group that would work with

scientists and engineers while they were developing manufacturing prototypes of copier

duplicators that would hit the market in 16-18 months. We had the most WONDERFUL

meetings about color coding parts that the customer would be allowed to touch, adjust, turn and

remove. We reduced the weight of subsystems so that no subsystem that was removed from the

machine would weight more than 40 pounds (didn't want to break the back of the field service

engineer). We even did some research in "Expert Systems" for diagnostics, where you feed a

computer the symptoms. And it states, based on actual repair records, things to look at. Hospitals

are using that kind of thing now with Docs as more patient info gets converted into electronic

readable files. I kind of miss the work really.

But when a poster gives no compliment at all (zero) about a company, it just weakens their

argument or point, IMHO. Thanks for your feedback.

Been away for a while and...

I've been away for a while and when I come back this is what I see? One of the first of the new

posts that I read is back on this negativity towards Invicta. The OP seems to be spoiling for a

confrontation. That's not what we're about here.

I'll put my $0.02 worth in and say that my wife and I own a dozen Invictas which we have

purchased over the last 16 months. We have been extremely pleased with all of them. The two

times that I have had to contact someone for customer service, it has been via e-mail. And that

was only because of issues encountered when registering purchases for the 5-year extended

warranty. The issues were handled promply and courteously. If and when we ever do have a

customer service issue involving an actual product problem, we'll deal with it as it comes.

Failing that, we enjoy our Invictas and look forward to purchasing more in the future.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Ross

Some of what u say is true but u just like to stretch the TRUTH alot. I've been here awhile and it

doesn't take a year to get a repaire done, usually it's 3 months. But the posts lately have been

positive saying it not even taking that long now. But u were probably on anoter site when these

came in. I own over 60 and only returned 2, not to bad of record. I could have had them repaired

or get a refund and I just happened on another watch I wanted so choose a refund.

So just get your facts a little more in line and then people might take u a little more serious. It

sounds like your just tring to stir up trouble troll, and nobody on this site will take anything u

write with a grain of salt, they'll just consider the source and move on as u should to your other

club your a member in. Or are they full of complaints about them over priced watches u buy so

Brady can buy his girl a house. We have a lot of complaints about other watches taking more

than 3 months for a repair can't remember the name of the over priced watch, one size (getting a

little larger sizes now), buy what I want u to wear, watch company something like Relax,or

exlast, or something like that. You keep buying them and talking to your Haaaaaaavard class

buddies.

Your questions would be ansewered if they were accurate, but they were all part or no truths to

them. It's like an attorney asking u if u still hit your wife yes or no. You say no, and he say's well

how long has it been since u last hit her then.

Everything u said I could say about every watch company because they are not true. Show me 5

threads where the OP say's they waited a year to get his watch back, all in the same week. You

Can't because it's not thier. Try 10 in a year, what no luck again.

Welcome to the forum. INVICTA CS ROCKS THE HOUSE .. Use your education to

communicate with them in a kind and giving way and perhaps your CS experiences with Invicta

will improve. Or, find a thesis on ' the positive impact and benefits of proper communication

skills on CS experiences ' and read the fine print !! ..

Invicta has been wonderful to me and I am grateful for my experiences with them.

Nick brings up a ver valid point. No Companyis Perfect! I have been waiting one year for new

Hadware of a ver high End Bedroom suite. The Hardware was defective and stated falling off

the day it was delivered. Why put up with It, I Worked for them for a Very long time and Know

the Manuf. and the Rep. They have had one problem after another getting it then it got lost. This

is Unreal. all being said Invicta tryes at least and with the amout of volume they do expect
