It was sent from North Bay in Canada over 100 years ago in 1906. The versatility and uses of birch will also be shown.The Voices of Atholl project is now up and run-ning. Eighteen local people talk about how life was in Blair Atholl and the Glens to provide an interactive display with touch screen technology.Carrying on with the previous theme about World War 1 and our outreach programme, Blair Atholl, Logierait and Grandtully Primary Schools have each given material for a joint exhibition. It covers, life in the trenches, using models made by the pupils, and also those at home in Scotland at this time with poems written by the children which really touch the heart. Two schools presented a play in December about the Christmas Truce in 1914. Photos and excerpts from the script which give a vivid reality to life on the battle field will be on view along with an old leather football from the Museum used in the play.
