I approached Edwards & Pearce to place me in

the Hull and East Riding market in early 2005

and was delighted with the professional friendly

approach I experienced from everyone I dealt

with. The most pleasing aspect was the thorough

approach taken in ensuring I was fully prepared

for the whole of the recruitment process. This

approach included interview advice and a clear

understanding of the employer’s requirements.

The aim is clearly to ensure an E&P candidate is

successful in being offered the role but with an

understanding that the role and the candidate are

a good fit. There appears to be a desire on the

part of E&P to ensure candidates are not only

successful in the recruitment process but continue

this success in the role itself. This whole approach

is framed with regular and the appropriate level

of communication to ensure I was fully aware of

where I and the employer were throughout the

process. A particularly nice touch was to receive

a text message on the morning of interview to

wish me luck and to express confidence in the

outcome…. It doesn’t matter how confident you

are in your own abilities it is a great fillip to have

E&P express it just before you walk into the

interview. With E&P you feel that the candidate

is at least as important as the client and there is

a genuine interest in you as an individual not

merely a number on a file. I would most definitely

use E&P again if I was looking for a new role

and would recommend other candidates to do

the same.
