General Program Information

Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) Solar Feed-in-tariff (FIT) Program

GRU customers can purchase their own solar photovoltaic (PV) systems to generate electricity and sell 100% of the energy produced directly back to GRU under a 20-year, fixed-price contract.

The fixed rate depends on the year and the type of project that is put into service.

Eligibility

• Project must lie within GRU’s electric service territory. • Project must meet the capacity restrictions and

mounting configurations in previous slide #3. • Approved projects must be completed on time, as

outlined in the application.• Not eligible if:

• Previously received a Solar PV Rebate, • entered into a net metering agreement, or • been financed with a Low-Interest Energy Efficiency Loan

from GRU.

• F.I.T. Program is open to both residential and commercial projects.
