creating neat projects, shopping,
meeting new friends, learning to
model and just having FUN? We have
a way for you to do all this! The 4-H
Fashion & Design Conference is
where you need to be June 4—6,
2019. Bring a friend or two and join
the fun. This awesome conference
takes place at Main Stay Suites in
Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where you
will stay for 3 days and 2 nights at the
hotel.
Who can attend?
The conference is open to all youth
who have completed grades 6-12.
Due to space restrictions, registration
is limited. Class size is small to ensure
individual attention and completion of
all projects. Participants will be
accepted on a first-come basis.
What is the cost?
The cost for attending the conference
is $100.00. This includes lodging,
meals, workshop materials, a dinner
show, and transportation during the
conference. You must pay the entire
amount by March 14 to reserve your
spot.

Design Conference
Programs in agriculture and natural resources, 4-H youth development, family and consumer sciences, and resource

What will we
be doing?
Sew and Serve Project—make
a quilt square for quilts of
valor.
Sew for you—Learn basic
sewing skills as you make a
pair of pajama shorts.
Learn what style looks best on
you.
Learn to make your own
screen printed T-shirt.
Learn to paint with Pen & Ink
Watercolors.
Learn to Macramé as you
make a finished project.
Trip to Pigeon Forge to explore
the bargains at the outlet
malls and with a visit to one of
the many Sevier County
attractions for a dinner and
entertainment filled evening.

Fashion Show/Project Runway
Model your garments! Walk the fashion
runway! You can showcase a garment
you have made in our 4-H Fashion
Show or model a purchased ensemble
in Fashion Sense. For both activities
there is a garment judging session.
The Fashion Show will be held
Thursday morning as the grand finale
to your conference experience. Plan to
be a part of this special event. Awards
are provided by the Tennessee Valley
Fair.
All fashion conference participants
will participate in the fashion
show. This can either be an outfit
that the individual sewed or a
purchased outfit.
What you should plan to bring:
Personal care items for self
School appropriate clothes for all
three days, casual for Tuesday and
Thursday, dressy casual for
Wednesday. (No denim or sweat
pants on Wednesday!)
Garment you are modeling for
Fashion Show (Fashion Sense or
Sewn Fashion)
Bathing suit and cover-up for
swimming
Snack items. All meals and snacks
are provided during classes,
additional snacks may be desired at
night in rooms.
