Student’s Academic Loading
The regular load is 12 units per semester and 6 units in summer. For Saturday classes, a student can take a maximum of 9 units during regular semester.
Should part of the student’s load be made up of “non credit” courses (i.e. undergraduate courses that are not intended for graduate accreditation but which nonetheless are required of a student to graduate accreditation but which nonetheless are required of a student to cover for deficiencies in his academic preparation}, the maximum load one could enroll is 15 units per semester. Research and teaching fellows of WPU shall be governed by separate policy.
Residence RequirementsThe maximum residence allowed is two and one summer for masteral at the University devoted wholly or partly to graduate work.
The Master’s degree must be completed within five calendar years and seven years for PhD. (excluding leaves from the start of admission.

Satisfactory 2.0
No Credit 2.25-3.0
Failed 5.0
Any grade below 2.0 will carry no credit to the degree program. To continue in the program, the student should have a weighted average of 2.0 or better.
Dropping of SubjectsApplication for changing, adding or dropping of subjects must be filed at the Registrar’s Office. Change in the registration, except for compulsory dropping of subjects is permitted within two weeks from the first day of classes during the semestral terms, and within the first three days during the summer term. Application for adding/changing of subjects for transfer to other classes must be course through the concerned graduate faculty and approved by the Advisory Committee Chairman.
Dropping of any course will not be permitted after eight weeks from the first day of classes during the semester and three weeks from the first day except for justifiable reason upon recommendation of the Advisory Committee Chairman and approval of the Dean. Unofficial dropping of any subject will mean a grade of 5.0.
