INTRODUCTIONThe islands of the West Indies would like to welcome you to take part in ourbid for the 2026 FIFA World Cup taking place from 5th June to 5th July, beingthe first in the Caribbean that creates a hybrid of 500 years of cultural diver-sity, with a known passion for sport.

The islands of the West Indies are known as a preferred favourite for tourism,because of its sandy beaches, picturesque surroundings, and a friendly popu-lation. It’s also a place for timeshares, a solid gambling industry, and astreak-free culinary finesse. It also combines the four major languages: Eng-lish, French, Spanish, and Dutch. It blends different cultures that passedthrough history, even after their independence movements.

Staging the FIFA World Cup in the summer of 2026 gives the West Indies anadditional push to the economy, creating more than 1.8 million jobs acrossthe islands, and contributing to the increase of the overall gross domesticproduct across the region. It also aids in the tourism industry, bringing morethan 22 million worldwide visitors to watch this major sporting event allsummer long, including a televised audience of more than 6.7 billion viewersworldwide.

Whether is in the Greater or Lesser Antilles or somewhere in between, of Eu-ropean or African origin, or whether you speak other languages than themain four, West Indies 2026 FIFA World Cup brings a mixture of Sun, Beach,Sand, and FOOTBALL!
