Welcome to the Wells Charolais 34th Annual Bull Sale,

This set of bulls we are offering have per-formed extremely well this year. They are a big, stout, powerful set of bulls. Look at their performance! In the offering are grandsons of Ledger, who is gaining much attention now. Generator, a Canadian sired bull, is a powerful bull and a complete outcross. Talon, Red Royal and Just-In have sired some of the best ever red factor bulls. The genetics of these bulls will definitely add pounds to your calf crop.

We will be selling 24 registered Charolais open heifers along with 80 commercial Cha-rolais cross buckskin and silver heifers. These heifers have been fed a growing ration of hay, syrup, stalks and corn. Again, the registered heifers have been selected from our replacements. The commercial heifers have been sired by our bulls and will make an excellent foundation herd.

Cattle prices are on the upswing! Without a doubt as the old saying goes, good cattle still bring good money.

EPDsEstimated Progeny Difference

EPDs are used to measure the difference in progeny. For example: If Bull A has a WW of 25 and Bull B has a WW of 35, then it is expected that bull B’s

calves will be or about 10 lbs heavier than Bull A’s will be. However, some of our herd sires contain Canadian genetics in the pedigree. The American International Charolais Association does not share data with the Canadian Charolais Association which then translates their EPDs to virtually nothing. This is why some of our EPDs

seem very inaccurate. We encourage you to select our cattle based off visual appraisal and raw data. Therefore by selecting your bull or bulls from us by using this method we don’t believe you will be misled or disappointed and if you are please let us know!

The Bozo calves are passing on the Platinum 20K traits. They have excellent performance, muscle,

bone, thickness, and big scrotals. These calves hit the ground and never look back!

CML Diablo 2X was the NWSS National Champion in 2012.

Mustang Sally is well known for all her wins up and down the show road in America and also Canada. Her dam, Platinum Lady took

We had the pleasure of having Travis and Sara Worth with us in January from Australia. They own the Australian semen rights on Wells “Just-In” 3861. Travis and Sara are enjoying their Just-In calves in Australia. Since our seasons are the opposite Travis had the op-portunity to get a good look at what he can look forward to seeing his Just-In calves grow into. There may be many

air miles that separate our families but our friendship has grown and flourished through out the course of our working relationship. We are very fortunate to have found each other even half way around the world.
