Welcome To UiTM Shah Alam Wireless Network

As network grows and there are increasing of demand to network mobility, Pusat Sistem Maklumat Bersepadu with cooperation of Facilities Management Department takes the initiative to accommodate UiTM users with wireless network infrastructure. 

As of now, most of the academic and administrative buildings, as well as many other public areas in the campus are covered with wireless network. 

PSMB and Facilities will continue proactively in giving better and continues wireless service and wider coverage to our valued users in UiTM Shah Alam. 

Here are some guidelines before using the UiTM wireless network. 

1. You have to be a registered user (make sure you have Internet connection first!) 

a.   Registration has to be made once, to get your credential approve and enable in the authentication server. 

b.   This process may take at least 2 days or earlier. 

c.  For user registered as UiTM staff, you may use your staff id as username and your IC number as the password. Same process applied to UiTM student. 

d.   Please go to this websites and you will be redirected to the registration form.

e.   The network administrator will constantly check your credentials with UiTM staff and student database to make sure you are a valid user.  

2. SSID (Service set identifier) under UiTM Shah Alam Wireless Network 

a.   These are the SSID created in UiTM Shah Alam Wireless Network 

i. uitmsalamstaff 

ii. uitmsalamstudent 

iii. uitmsalamguest 

b.    Each SSID is self ‐explanatory. Uitmsalamguest is dedicated for outsiders for examples; vendor, system integrator and exhibitor that have to access to Internet temporarily during onsite work in UiTM Shah Alam. 

 

 

 

c.   After selecting the SSID and having connected status, please initiate your browser connection. Initial connection will be redirected to authentication web page. Please key in your username and password.  

 

d.  If you have successfully authenticated, a small browser will be prompted, notifying that you have been  connected  through  the wireless  network. Minimize  that  page  and  do  not  close  it.  Your network will be disconnected if you close the notification page. If you did not get any notification page, please ignore this statement. 

     e.  Your main web browser will be then automatically redirected to http://www.uitm.edu.my
