This GPRS transmitter is compatible with all leading control panels and will interface to them either via their DTMF or serial port, or both.

It contains a built in 433 receiver (Optional) enabling the user to send a panic or medical signal from a remote hand held short range transmitter.

How conventional Landline Alarm monitoring works

Points to Remember

1. The standard communication method used by Alarm Systems is via Telephone lines.2. The Alarm system checks in with your Monitoring company once every 24 – 60 Hours.3. The Monitoring company does not test your Alarm system, they monitor it.4. The Monitoring company relies on the Alarm system to report to them, they do not

report to the alarm system.

How conventional Landline Alarm monitoring works

Process used by the Alarm System

1. Alarm system information is sent to the monitoring centre using the telephone lines.2. The Alarm system dials the monitoring centre number and supplies the information.3. The information can be Burglary, panic etc, and the monitoring centre will respond.4. A routine signal is also sent to the monitoring centre every 24 – 60 hourly (Landline).5. If the monitoring centre receives the routine signal they date and time stamp it.6. This is recorded in their Monitoring software.7. If the routine signal is once every 24 hours, they will expect to receive it again in 24hrs.8. If the signal is not received again in 24 hrs the monitoring centre will respond.

How conventional Landline Alarm monitoring works

The Alarm System and the telephone use the same telephone cable.

Both cannot work at the same time on the telephone line.

Remember Landline and IP monitoring use the same Copper wires

How conventional Landline Alarm monitoring works

The Alarm System and the telephone use the same telephone cable.

Both cannot work at the same time on the telephone line.

If the telephone line is cut, the phone and the Alarm System cannot communicate with the Monitoring Centre.

How Internet IP Alarm monitoring works

The Alarm System and the telephone use the same telephone cable.

Both cannot work at the same time on the telephone line.

If the telephone line is cut, the phone and the Alarm System cannot communicate with the Monitoring Centre.

Why not to use a phone line

Points of Concern

1. Remember the standard communication method used by Alarm Systems is via Telephone lines. This applies to both Landline and IP monitoring.

2. If the alarm system sends the routine signal the moment you are reading this, and 5 minutes later your telephone line is cut or becomes faulty:

3. Your monitoring centre will only be aware of this at the next timer test failure.4. Conclusion: The system relies on exposed wiring, is vulnerable to intruders, and is not

very secure. 5. Monitoring relies on positive professional action to an alarm. Time is of vital

importance. It is better to act on a definitive alarm than act on a delayed timer test failure.

Benefits of using Secure-Com

1. The communication method is TOTALLY WIRELESS.2. No telephone lines are required, so savings on Telephone line rentals are received.3. The communication to your Monitoring Centre CANNOT be interrupted by intruders.4. The communication method is EXTREMELY fast, and takes a matter of seconds..5. All communication is conducted through a totally secure VPN Private Network.6. Communication will still occur in Power outages.7. The Technology is compatible with ALL brands and models of Alarm Systems.8. Will not interfere with Broadband like landline monitoring.9. Latest cutting edge technology.
