The FOOD PANTRY is recovering from the recent fire and needs to restock

their shelves! Items most needed are cereal, peanut butter, jelly, pasta, and

pasta sauce. Gas card donations are needed to keep the Food Pantry Van

moving. You may send cards to Harry Drier, 5380 N. Ocean Dr. Apt. 6D,

Singer Island, FL 33404.

Items needed for the Homeless at St. Ann: shoes, belts, hats, cloth shopping

bags, men’s jeans/pants (sizes 28-38) and ladies pants. Small size toiletries,

band aids, sunscreen, bug spray and vitamins are needed. Please place in the

patio storage room.

We need laptops or iPads for families in transition from homelessness. If you

have one to donate, please contact Harry Drier at 561-601-8211.

There are many volunteer opportunities within the Care Ministry. If you have

time and a passion for giving back your time, please join the Care Ministry team

of volunteers by contacting Harry Drier at 561-601-8211 or [email protected].

Soulfire Youth Ministry

Today is CLUB 345! All 3rd, 4th and 5th graders are invited to stay for brunch

The food pantry sorting and delivery day will be on the 18th from 1:00-4:00.

All Soulfire youth are invited to help our Confirmation class with this event.

Glasses for Haiti

We will continue to collect reading glasses and non-prescription sunglasses to

be sent to the Village of Hope in Haiti. We will have a shipment going in early

2019. Please continue to donate and thank you for your support.

Caring Card Ministry

Making cards to send to those who are shut in, grieving, suffering, celebrating

something special or just a note to say “Hello” is what we are all about. If you

are interested, join us and have a creative hour of fun on the 2nd Sunday each

month at 12:15 PM in the Learning Center room 208. Please contact Shonda

Staudt 561-358-2442, [email protected] or Jamie Johnson 561-351-

7233, [email protected] with any questions. No experience is necessary.

Happy All Saints Day! Our His Kids will be learning about All

Saints Day today and what it means to them and the Lutheran

Church. Your child will be coming home with a pink heart.

Inside the heart is the Saint they choose that is special to them.

A saint in the Lutheran tradition is someone who believes in

Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and they share the love of

Jesus with others. Please discuss this with your child and share what they have

learned.

Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant

Travel on the church bus with the group from HSLC to the Christmas Pageant!

please RSVP to Cindy Miller at (561) 743-0588 or [email protected]

or sign up at the Hospitality Center today. Space is limited. You will need to

purchase your own tickets and choose your seats at www.christmastickets.com

or call 954-831-1123.

Lutheran World Relief Quilting Ministry

We will resume November 12 and we need people to tie knots or sew tops. No

experience is necessary. It’s not hard and it’s very rewarding. We meet every

Monday at 10:00 AM in room 202 of the Learning Center. If you are interested

please call Barbara Antonelli at 845-667-1567. We are looking for donations of

gently used sheets for the backs of the quilts. No holes or stains please. If you

would like to donate, please leave in the patio storage room with a note marking

them for Lutheran World Relief Quilts.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

The Youth of our Congregation are sponsoring the Thanksgiving Food

Drive. For three weeks, November 3 - 18 the youth of our congregation are

asking that you bring non-perishable food items to donate to our food

pantry. The goal weight of food that we are challenged to raise this year is

3,645 pounds. The goal weight is based on the weight of all our confirmation

students and adult volunteers. The food will be brought to the food pantry and

distributed to under resourced families here in our community before

Thanksgiving. If every person in our congregation brings 10 pounds of food we

will go over the goal weight with no problem. Thank you for responding to

Jesus’ call to feed the hungry.
