YOUR DESTINATION Freycinet Lodge is the ultimate balance of pristine wilderness and eco-sensitive luxury located on 5.6
hectares just inside the National Park at Coles Bay on Tasmania’s East Coast. The spectacular waterfront
location is a superb setting for conference and incentive groups.
With highlights like the aqua waters of Wineglass Bay, named one of the ‘Top Ten Beaches in the World’ by
Great Outdoors Magazine; and the luminous pink quartz of the Hazards Mountains, your guests will find this
destination irresistible.
The Freycinet Peninsula landmass formed over hundreds of millions of years to create the sculpted bays and
distinctive granite monoliths that are visible today. The jagged peaks of The Hazards mountains, Mount
Graham and Mount Freycinet are tethered by a low, sandy isthmus, and the peninsula’s diverse vegetation
includes coastal scrub, wetlands and dry eucalypt forests.
Freycinet Peninsula has been a centre for whaling, mining, granite quarrying and farming, and evidence of
this history can still be seen in the landscape. Aquaculture has been a prominent industry in the area since
the 1970s, harvesting the abundant oysters, mussels, scallops and abalone that thrive in the clean waters of
the east coast.
Combine the wildlife, walks, food and wine, heritage and a variety of land and water based activities to make
your event unforgettable.
