Workshop Overview

Objectives1. A commitment to integrate and teach Student Launch

curriculum in your classroom/daily lessons on an ongoing basis

2. Sign up for email announcement with NASA Flight Opportunities https://flightopportunities.nasa.gov/opportunities/where-to-apply/

3. Write Proposal to NASA Flight Opportunities to manifest student experiments on the next launch

4. Build experiments during the Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 semesters

5. Attend our Student Launch or fly experiments on high altitude balloon

6. Plan for future use of this curriculum and expansion of learning objectives for a more complex payload

7. Report to your school boards on your experience. Invite New Mexico Space Grant Consortium to your presentation.

8. Agree to report on the number of students who have received this instruction in Fall 2015 and Spring 2016

9. Complete NASA Release Form (embed the attached parent and minor NASA release forms into curriculum)

FLARE West Mesa Launch Site

Take 110 west toward Deming. Pass Border Patrol station then exit at Exit 116. Turn right onto access road headed back to the east. Go 0.93 miles, look for Co. Rd C0003 on left. Turn left and proceed 1.91 miles North to Co Rd C004 on right. Fork right and continue about 2,8 miles NNW to launch site.
