WELCOMING WORD FROM MIKE & LENA

Dear fellows, It is our utmost pleasure to congratulate you on being selected for 6th Kyiv Regional Session! We are extremely happy and honoured that you decided to join our team and become a part of this amazing event! 6th Kyiv Regional Session is a 3-day conference of EYP-Ukraine, which will take place on 26-28 of April 2013 in the picturesque Ukraine’s capital, the city of Kyiv. It will gather around 100 participants from all over Ukraine and Europe. The umbrella topic of the session is “Europe fights for human rights”. The session will consist of 1 day of amusing TB and one day of fruitful committee work, followed by one-day GA. Besides, every evening you will be enjoying a fun cultural programme, so prepare your masks and dancing shoes! Since all the venues are situated in the historical centre of Kyiv, during the session you will have an opportunity not only to experience Ukraine’s hospitability and the uniqueness of EYP-Ukraine, but also to explore the beauty of one of the oldest cities in Europe. We are hoping that the time you are about to spend in Kyiv will be one of the brightest memories in your life and maybe even the best session in your EYP history! The unique spirit, all the craziness, all the pretty blondes and brunettes will make it a bright and absolutely unforgettable experience! In this information booklet you will find necessary information about the session. So, be patient, stay strong, and remember: life is beautiful any time of day or night, after a black stripe comes a white one, and we have enough of milky coffee to boost everyone’s mood! Looking forward to seeing each of you very soon! Yours Blond’n’Brunette HOs

The European Youth Parliament does its best to provide sessions at high standards. It therefore goes without saying that the participants of a session are expected to behave adequately to the high standard programme of the session, not to overindulge in alcohol, not to consume any drugs during the session, to smoke only in appropriate places (smoking areas), to strictly follow the orders of the session organisers, to take part in all the activities of the session programme and not to leave the session venues without explicit approval of the session organisers.

o The participant has to fully comply with the Ukrainian law. o You should always remember that organisers are not responsible for safety of your

belongings while they are with you. o Following instruction of organisers is required. o Please be aware that the participant will be charged for any damage he/she causes. This

first of all concerns the hotel rooms where delegates are accommodated. o Alcohol policy:

There will be no alcohol provided by EYP-Ukraine at any events during the session programme. As young ambassadors of their countries, participants of the session are expected to understand that we would not wish their stay in Ukraine to be deteriorated by their own or others misbehaviour.

Delegates are expected to actively participate in all events of the programme. Therefore EYP-Ukraine highly discourages the participants of its sessions from consuming alcohol during the event*.

Participants under 18 years are prohibited from consuming alcohol during the session in consistence with Ukrainian law.

EYP-Ukraine appreciates session’s subordination. Therefore officials are highly discouraged from drinking with delegates.

Participants that were noticed consuming alcohol in the hotel will receive a warning and the alcohol will be confiscated.

EYP frowns upon overindulgence. Generally, any overindulgence in alcohol may result in participants being excluded from the session and sent home at their own expense.

o EYP operates a total ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY TOWARDS DRUGS. Any violation of these rules leads to the immediate exclusion of the participant from the session without any reimbursement of the participation fee and at the own costs of the participant.
