Art DT History/Geography Silhouette dinosaur art

Last week you began working on creating a silhouette dinosaur picture, starting with the

background.

Using these links to help you: https://youtu.be/wxMZYf92FHc

https://youtu.be/ryaTvJglPGM

. Once you have completed the background you can create a silhouette of your chosen dinosaur

using paint, colouring pencils, crayons or cutting and sticking paper.

Remember: If you find it tricky to draw the dinosaur onto the background picture, draw the dinosaur on a separate piece of paper.

Moving dinosaur instructions! Last week you created a moving dinosaur by

using simple materials. This week your task is to think back to what you did and to write up instructions on how you made your moving

dinosaur.

To help you write your instructions clearly and in the correct order use the questions below to help you: - What materials/ tools did you use? - What did you use these materials for? - What did you have to fold, cut, glue or stick? - What did you do first, second, then, next,

after, and finally? Here is an example of how you can set out each part of the instructions.

This week you are going continue to do your research as a palaeologist and you can pick a dinosaur to study! Can you remember what palaeontologists do? Which dinosaur would you like to research this week? Remember to choose a different dinosaur from the one you researched last week! Once you have chosen a dinosaur then you can start to learn about it. Can you find the answer to the following questions? Where did it live? When did it live? How big was it? What did it look like? Now, choose your own ‘Did you know?’ fact about the dinosaur.
