P & C NEWS - Last night the P & C association held their last meeting for 2017. I sincerely thank all the P & C

members for the fabulous support they have given to students and staff. 2017 has been a very successful year

due to their great fundraising efforts and the number of school community events they have organised. These

contributions have enriched the learning opportunities for our students and our community spirit. Special thanks

to the executive for their time and commitment to our school.

Carolyn Howard, Principal (Rel).

CELEBRATION DAY is on Monday 11 December. On this day we acknowledge the hard work and

achievements of all our students with a small celebration. This year, we are offering students the

chance to participate in Obstacool followed by party food for lunch at 12:40pm. The course is made

up of a giant mix of inflatable obstacles together with walls, tunnels, commando nets and stepping

stones. The course will be set up on school grounds, covering the Block grassed area. Students will

be very active on the course, as such they are able to wear neat casual clothes including shoes suitable for

running and a broad brimmed hat (no caps). Please note, thongs or singlets are not allowed. Permission

notes, including $5 to participate, are due back to the Front Office by Wednesday 6 December.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY - Please note that our special assembly will be held tomorrow, Thursday 30 November at 12:00pm in the hall.

STUDENT NEWS Congratulations to Mia Sheather 4CH who organised a cake stall in the last school holidays to raise money for the Classroom of Hope charity. The funds raised were sent to a project in Southern Rwanda to build toilets and a clean water facility for a secondary school. For more information about this charity please go to www.classroomofhope.org What a wonderful endeavour Mia!

SPORTS NEWS PSSA TOUCH FOOTBALL Our APS touch football teams have started playing extremely well together over the past two weeks. The juniors showed great communication and defence. The team had a 7-3 win over St Pats. The Senior Gold team played their best game yet against Glenroy. They were able to experiment with a variety of attacking moves, including switches, dummy passes and drawing and passing. Alex, Harriet and Lochie all played very well. Mr Fisher, Coordinator
