Why weed my digital collection?
Weed your collection to hide:
1. Expired titles
– Metered access titles with 0 licenses
– Metered access titles with no time
2. Outdated materials
– Travel guides
– Legal materials
– Medical journals
– Test prep
Weeding permission in Marketplace is required.

Set additional criteria:
• Titles no longer available for purchase.
• Titles with 0 active holds.
Automatically weed expired titles
Create a plan for expired Metered Access titles.

Manually weed or unweed titles
1. Open the Weeding tool.
2. Select Search collection to find titles.
3. Check off titles to weed or unweed.
4. Click Weed Title(s) or Unweed Title(s).
Search for and hide or unhide titles from your digital library.

Remove holds on weeded titles
Weeded titles may have holds. Manually remove holds using the Manage holds tool in Marketplace. Users are not automatically notified when a hold is removed.
End-user support permission in Marketplace is required.
Create carts for repurchasing

After you manually weed expired titles, create a worksheet of the remaining titles so they can be repurchased.

Repurchase the titles you want

1. Open the Weeding tool in Marketplace.
2. Select Search collection.
3. Submit a search for titles that are expired.
4. Manually weed titles you don’t plan to repurchase.
5. Create a worksheet of the remaining, unweeded titles.
6. Copy all the ISBNs from the excel worksheet.
7. Paste the ISBNs into the Advanced Search from the Marketplace home page.
8. Repurchase all remaining titles.
