H ave you ever noticed what happens when people come together in celebration? The energy changes. The connection to one another grows. There is so much positivity that your spirit can't help but be lifted. This is what happens at weddings. The compas-sion and loved shared between friends and family mag-nifies. Weddings remind us of how connected we are. We really all are ONE. I’m invited to weddings to tell your story with my camera. What I don’t expect is to be changed by what I experience. And yet, it always happens. I’m just the photographer but the LOVE is so big at weddings, my spirit is lifted. That’s why I do what I do. Thank you for inviting me to tell your wedding story. This moment gave me the chills. There was such an abundance of love pouring out, everyone felt it. Everyone got caught up in it. Beth and John, and all their family and friends let the love flow that night. It was late when the party dimmed but I had to call my wife and tell her I loved her.

Why? Because weddings are made up of a whole lot more than just the first kiss as husband and wife, the cake that was cut, the portraits with the parents and all those other obligatory photo ops that The Knot recommends you have your photographer capture.

It's about the bride and groom who close down the dance floor at 1am when no one else is in sight. It's about tak-ing the time to actually photograph the guests, the ones you love, the ones you asked to be there to celebrate one of the biggest days in your life. It's about you. It's about your day. And we believe we have to be there for it all.

When I saw this point I knew it would be perfect for Beth and John and the vision they had for their wed-ding. Here Beth is waiting for John to come and see her for the first time in her dress. Right before John came down the light came out and gave her this perfect glow. This is John’s favorite image from the day.
