There are various locations, air-conditioned indoor or outdoor, throughout the resort to celebrate the wedding dinner depending on the preference of the couple.

The Secrets of Love and Secrets Ultimate Wedding Packages include the Silver and Gold Dinner Menu respectively at the Ballroom, in the Pool area, on the beach or on the Deck.

Beach and Outdoor Reception Max. 220

The set up for this are round tables to accommodate 8 to 10 guests per table. A beach buffet service will be provided for wedding groups of 15 or more guests. In case of inclement weather, we will set up an alternative indoor option.

Pool area – 220 guests – Music is allowed. Deck area – 100 guests – Music is allowed.

Ballroom Max. 220

The Ballrooms provides a truly elegant venue for larger groups. Music is allowed in the Ballroom.

Restaurants

Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun highly recommends that all additional decorations and/ or favors be brought with the couple on the plane. If it is necessary to ship boxes prior to the couple’s arrival, we suggest using either FEDEX or UPS and shipping everything a month and a half in advance to ensure all boxes clear customs and arrive to the resort in time.

• Please be advised that food, animals, insects or natural flowers are not permitted to enter Mexico.

• Label all boxes with your name and clearly specify the date you will be arriving.

Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun will deliver gifts to the guest’s rooms. There will be a fee of $4.00 USD per room. A complete guest list of all guests along with room numbers is required.

Once the boxes have been shipped, please send an e-mail to the wedding coordinator with the following information to allow us to track the packages:

• Bride’s name • Tracking number(s)• Shipping company • Number of boxes

Policy on Damages and Losses:The property does not assume responsibility for any items, personal or professional, brought onto the resort prior to, during or after the wedding event. These include, but are not limited to, floral arrangements, decorations or equipment. The wedding couple is responsible for all non-resort guests while they are on property attending the event.

Deposit PolicyA deposit is required to confirm and hold the requested wedding date. Deposit requirements vary based on wedding package purchased. Deposit of $100.00 is required to reserve the Wedding in Paradise Package; a deposit of $500.00 is required to reserve the Love or Ultimate Wedding Package.

This deposit can then be applied toward ceremony and/or reception upgrades which have been purchased in addition to the wedding package. If the wedding couple chooses not to purchase additional ceremony and/ or reception amenities, the credit can then be applied toward any room charges upon check out, including but not limited to phone charges, spa treatments and logo shop purchases. Any remaining credit balance will be refunded in the form of the original payment.

Cancellation PolicyThe wedding can be canceled six or more months prior to the confirmed date without penalties. If the wedding is canceled within six months, the non-refundable deposit will be kept as a penalty. If the wedding is canceled, but the couple still travels as planned, the deposit can then be applied toward any additional room charges made during their stay.

Payment OptionsThe entire payment must be paid in full two days prior to the wedding, after the first meeting with the wedding coordinator. The final wedding payment must be paid with traveler’s checks or credit card.

• Payments with traveler’s checks (American Express) require a passport.

• The following credit cards will be accepted: Visa, Mastercard or American Express.

• Personal checks will not be accepted as a form of payment.

Payment Policy

The following list of legal requirements are needed only for legal marriage. The Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun Wedding Coordinator must receive the following documents to begin the application for marriage in the Civil Registry Office.

• Bride, Groom & four witnesses must arrive in Cancun a minimum of four business days prior to the wedding day with valid passports. Symbolic and non-legal ceremonies allow flexibility for arrival date. Please speak with the wedding coordinator to discuss requirements.

• Tourist Card (Received upon arrival at Cancun International Airport)

• If Bride is divorced and kept her married name on her passport, please contact your Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun Coordinator for more info.

• Blood test must be taken in Mexico. To be considered valid, the test should not be taken more than 14 days prior to the ceremony. The blood will be tested for HIV, STD’s (sexually transmitted diseases) and blood type. The wedding coordinator will arrange the blood tests.

• The names, addresses, nationalities, ages, occupation, relationship, copy of a tourist card and a valid identification of the four witnesses. Wedding Coordinator will fill out the legal form. The witnesses can be relatives, friends or anyone who has a valid passport.

• The Marriage Certificate is only valid in Mexico. In order to make it legal internationally, the Wedding Coordinator will send a copy of your License to the Validation Process. The fee will be $200 USD. The process will take up to 2-3 months. Once the document is apostilled, the resort will send all documentation to couples home address.

• NEW LEGAL REQUIREMENT! Special Certificate (CIR). Please send 2 months prior the wedding scanned copies of the bride and groom’s passport and birth certificates to request a NON marriage letter by Quintana Roo State. This letter certifies the couple does not have a previous marriage registered in the State of Quintana Roo. This Certification letter has an additional fee. Please check with the wedding coordinator for details. If someone is divorced, they must send a scanned copy of the Divorce Decree & Birth Certificate Apostile , so the resort can send it to be translated in Spanish by a certified translator in Mexico.
