Story type: Overcoming the monster

LOG LINE: Two mosquitoes are at the park enjoying their day when all of a sudden a giant human swats one of them. Seeing that their friend is badly injured the mosquito becomes enraged. The mosquito then decides it’s the human’s turn to get swatted.

Style: Comic (over-the-top) + 3D Animation driven story

Figure 1 depicts a comic action sequence that is over the top

Figure 2 is Larva the show and each episode is 2-3 animations that focus on animation and sound effects to effectively tell the story without words being spoken

The animations follow the principles of animation, which make it a great show

The Principles include:

5. Follow Through and Overlapping Action

6. Slow-In and Slow-Out

The calm color palette (figure 3) will be used for the first half of the animation and the revenge color palette (figure 4) will be used in the second half of the animation to show a change in tone

Popeye, from figure 5, is also used as inspiration for my piece due to him ingesting his “super food” (spinach) to alter his body shape and make himself stronger

The spinach is used for Popeye as a super food because of a nutrition error because the chemist wrote down the amount of iron as 35 milligrams instead of 3.5 milligrams

Female mosquitoes are the mosquitoes that suck blood in order to produce eggs

The ways to kill mosquitoes: swatting with hands, fly swatter, bug zappers, insecticide, vacuuming, news paper, a mosquito swatter, mow lawn to avoid a breeding/hiding ground
