Model of a learning environment

The model arose as a simple extension to the Model of Micro-economy. The initial prompt for the learninglearning environment dated back to a post first entered on social networking website EduspacesEduspaces

I began the post with the opening premise for the model of micro-economy:

The model begins with a base ontology of the world of the market, which is divided, nevertheless, into two constituent ontologies, such that exchange is able to take place.

The two ontologies are subset within a conceptual dialectic, whereby market demand will meet with market supply at the interface of the internet.

Towards the end of the post I shifted focus to a learning environment. I proposed a representation of the learning environment that might provide as a fertile source for - in the very least - the development of heuristic learning models. The premise of the ontology to be developed over an extended period of time.

An ontology of the internet learning environment.

The institution and the student are subset within a conceptual dialectic.

For the time being, the third party, the added dimension of Agency, remains fully hidden.

Agency

Teaching staff are party to Agency. They straddle the interface of delivery and accessibility and so represent a crucial part of the learning economy

A learning environment

The objective of my presentation for the System of the Market had concerned the resettling of a perspective of the entity ‘consumer’ – the buyer to the market – within the environment of a market (situation).

The notion of a learning environment appealed as the means to bring my conception of an 'active consumer‘ into the base design of the model of the market.

As a first step, I referred to an abstract of the base model.

The model is always the convenient start point. This is what makes the model such a useful accessory.

As a second step, I shifted my focus to a learning environment - working with the entity ‘consumer’ as being in the least a profile within the market that would be continuously responsive to the environment providing within the market, and thereupon would always be under state and condition of learning.

Learning

The image arises from the demand dimension in my model design and hooks up to the concept of an individual within a learning environment.

The intent behind the image is merely the purpose of an example.

The presumption is that the benefit accrues to the learner.
