DESCRIPTIONAre you having a difficult time describing things in more than three words? Do you always run out of words when talking? Can’t you reach the word limit in your essay because you’re lacking of words to write? Ludwig Wittgenstein, a philosopher in language, once said, “The limit of my language means the limits of my world.” If you have a wide vocabulary, you have a wider appreciation of the world. Language broadens a person’s understanding of thoughts, emotions, and experiences. 2. If you have a wide vocabulary, you have a wider appreciation of the world. Language broadens a persons understanding of thoughts, emotions, and experiences. 3. Read, read, and read. 4. Not only poring over the pages of a book, magazine, or newspaper can ease your boredom and inform you about things but it also helps you widen your vocabulary. Since you will encounter a lot of words as you read, you get the chance to know how they are used in a sentence. 5. Browse your dictionary. 6. As you read, dont forget to consult your friendly dictionary when you come across with unfamiliar words and phrases. Not only you will know its meaning but also the proper way to spell and pronounce it. 7. Listen. 8. Watch movies using English language. Listen to foreign musicians. What you always listen to retains in your mind. Entertain yourself while learning the language so it will come naturally to you as if youre just engaging in a conversation. 9. The more you expose yourself to the English language, the more youll learn about it! 10. If you want to further enhance your vocabulary, you can also focus on learning English grammar lessons. Just as how you need to be a good follower in order for you to be a good leader; you also need an extensive reading first before you can write well and listen a lot for you to speak better.
