Designing your Kid’s bedroom is a great opportunity to explore the heights of your creativity.
It's probably the best time to be magical and bold with so many exciting design possibilities.
As your kids grow, you keep re-designing their rooms until they are grown enough and wish to design their rooms their way! Here are some ideas to catalyse the creative monster in you!
1. Keep things reachable to your kid’s height Organise things in such a
way that kid are able to reach them.
Try to keeping things at a height of your kid. Chairs, benches, shelves and closets, all of these should be easily reachable to your kids.
This will help them stay organised and keep their things on the right places.
2. Create an Art Room
Keep their rooms filled with artworks and creative wall designs.
These artworks should be inspirational that makes the kids have a feeling of their own private world.
The artworks could be paintings, quotes or pictures that brighten the face of your kids. You can keep changing them with time as your kids grow.
3. Give them a warm vision at Night Many paint stores sell
additives to paint that allows it to glow in the dark.
Draw and paint small stars, moon and galaxy on the roof or some parts of the wall of the room.
You also get various radium stickers of starts. Kids find it thrilling and exciting.
4. Bring them Close to Nature:
Make your children love the nature.
Colour the mural green.
Coloured trees and birds painted on the wall.
Hang cream coloured curtains on the either side of the mural.
The colour green soothes the eyes and the painting of the nature will bring them closer to the nature.
5. Don’t keep the designs and patterns permanent
Try removable wall transfers.
These are getting quite popular as they are affordable and come with a range of patterns and styles.
A single design and wall pattern can be boring for kids.
So it’s better to keep changing the styles alternatively.
That saves money and keeps your kids happy.
6. Decorate it with your kid’s collections
Many kids have a hobby of collection.
They keep collecting things.
Some kids like to collect stamps, some like to savour the greeting cards they receive from their friends, some kids like to collect different types of stones and so on.
You can use their hobby to decorate their room. Ideate the presentation of their collection.
7. Multiple lighting arrangement Make sure that you
provide multiple kinds of lighting in your kids’ rooms. A reading light is different from the night light.
And coloured lights give a beautiful feel of the interior.
Designing your kid's house can be real fun.
