Plot• The story’s about a man named Waldo who

is a world traveler that always dresses up in red and white. Waldo was joined on most of his travels by a girl friend who wore cloths with the same color as his. He was also accompanied by an evil Waldo named Odlaw who was always dressed in yellow or black.

Challenges

• There is not a specific person that challenged it but more of a group. The book was challenged at the public library of Saginaw in 1989 because some of the pages had almost hidden nude sunbathers and things that were unsuitable for children. The reason they challenged it is because most people didn’t want their kids to read and see that.

My Reaction

• Honestly I have always liked Waldo books and I have never noticed anything in them that was obscene. I think they overexagrated by banning the book. I mean the picture with a nude sunbather is so small you can barely see it. And other than that Where’s Waldo books are great children's books in my opinion.

Other books challenged

• He has no other books just illustrations. And none of which have ever been challenged.
