Tip Keselamatan Elektrik

‘Balik Kampung’

Tidak lama lagi, perayaan Hari Raya Aidilfitri menjelang tiba. Sebelum anda memulakan perjalanan balik ke kampung, pastikan rumah anda dikunci rapi dan peralatan elektrik anda dimatikan. Berikut adalah beberapa tip yang harus anda lakukan sama ada anda jauh di kampung mahupun berhari raya di ibu kota.

Bagi melindungi rumah anda, periksa semua sambungan bumi dan pastikan soket berada dalam keadaan baik dan selamat.

Periksa semua dawai pengalir dan pastikan penebatnya tidak merekah.

Jangan membaik pulih atau mengubahsuai peralatan elektrik yang rosak. Ianya hanya boleh dilakukan oleh orang kompeten yang disijilkan oleh Suruhanjaya Tenaga.

Gunakan palam tiga mata dan jangan membuang mata bumi bila dimasukkan ke dalam soket.

Jalankan ujian Pemutus Litar Arus Baki sekurang-kurangnya sekali setiap bulan.

Pastikan pergerakan peralatan elektrik bermotor tidak mempunyai halangan.

Jangan memasuki kawasan berisiko tinggi seperti pencawang elektrik.

Jangan ganggu atau rosakkan pepasangan elektrik seperti meter di rumah atau suis utama.

Jangan hidupkan suis semasa tangan basah.

Sambungkan peralatan elektrik hanya pada punca tenaga yang dikhususkan.

Bagi mengelakkan rumah anda dimasuki pencuri, jangan biarkan lampu rumah menyala sepanjang masa. Gunakan lampu yang memiliki penetap masa.

Pastikan soket tidak dibebankan dengan ‘adapter’ elektrik yang berlebihan.

Pastikan semua peralatan elektrik berfungsi dan berkeadaan baik.

Pastikan kanak-kanak sentiasa diawasi daripada bermain dengan peralatan elektrik.
